You might say the Westmores were the OG beauty influencers. In 1917, British hairdresser George Westmore established the first hair and makeup department for films in Hollywood. Six of his children went on to become hugely successful movie makeup artists, and so began a lineage of Westmore beauty pros in Hollywood that spans four generations. The Westmores even have their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in recognition of how they, quite literally, changed the face of the entertainment industry.
